The labrum of the shoulder is a cartilage structure that works as a glove to help hold and support the arm bone (humerus) into the shoulder socket. A shoulder labrum Tear can result in recurrent deep shoulder pain in addition to micro-instability and inflammation that contributes to shoulder arthritis. Labrum tears are very common in the active individual but can also occur as we age. When labrum tear start to cause pain and limit function, they should never be ignored.
Shoulder Labral Tear surgery is an invasive procedure that involves cutting, shaving (debriding) the torn labral tear. It makes intuitive sense, and there is evidence to support, that removing tissue within the joint like the labrum causes further arthritis to the shoulder joint in years to come. Complicating factors include prolonged downtime, hardware misalignment and risks such as infection, frozen shoulder, pneumonia, stroke, and heart attack.
Traditionally, the only treatment for those with shoulder labral tear was band-aid medications, injections, or an invasive shoulder surgery in which the torn labrum is cut, shaved, debridement and taken out. IROSM’S proprietary regenerative/stem cell procedure for those with a shoulder labral tear is an micro-invasive same-day injection procedure designed to alleviate pain, improve function, and slow shoulder joint degeneration with an aim at joint preservation. In addition to being less invasive than surgery, the procedure conveys less risk of complications and in many cases less downtime. Though it is not covered by insurance carriers, out of pocket costs for this procedure are often comparable to major shoulder surgery when considering all factors associated with surgery. Most importantly, this joint preserving procedure allows you to keep your own tissue rather than having it shaved down or cut out. In other words, the cells from your own body harness your own body’s healing capability to naturally restore, reduce pain and get you back to doing the things you love.
IROSM was created to provide cutting-edge, remarkable Orthopedic Regenerative Medicine Procedures within a, patient-centered experience. The Board-Certified Physicians, at IROSM are extremely experienced in successfully treating rotator cuff tear. Our doctors have extensive experience in precisely treating torn rotator cuff tear using cutting-edge precision guided imaging technology. Our amazing physicians always make sure to put the patient’s needs first in a complete patient-centered process, that includes an in-depth consultation with a medical doctor, and continuous check-ups even after the treatment with personalized physical therapy protocols and booster treatments if needed.
Our Board-Certified doctors will evaluate your case, personally reviews your X-rays, MRIs, labs work, and all medical records to determine the best treatment plan.
The proprietary protocols at IROSM allow us to collect high quantities of viable Mesenchymal Progenitor Stem Cells, growth factors, and other cytokines that promote a Bio-repair response. The cellular collections process is a minimally invasive office procedure done the day of your treatment. At our facility, we only collect patients’ own(autologous) regenerative cells.
The cellular processing and concentration are done inside of our “Advanced Regenerative Lab(ARL)”. Whether we are concentrating “Hyper PRP”, Bone Marrow, or Adipose(fat) reparative cells, our trained physicians and staff can greatly concentrate and purify our regenerative medicine preparation. Inside the ARL, we can fully customize our cellular treatment tailored to the individual patient and their specific problem.
After the cells are collected and processed, our physician will reimplant the Regenerative Cells into the patient’s problem. Whether is a torn meniscus, degenerated arthritis joint, torn rotator cuff, or any other orthopedic problem. Our highly trained doctors will use advanced Ultrasound or X-rays to accurately reimplant the cells into the problem area, using image guidance grantees proper placement.
After the procedure, a personalized rehabilitation process will commence maximizing the recovery of our patients. Our physicians will guide our patients throughout the full rehabilitation process.
